Valley Road has uninterrupted 360 degree views of Kāpiti Island, Mana Island, South Island, Mt Taranaki and Mt Ruapehu on a good day. With its prime west coast location, guests are treated to some of the most spectacular sunsets you'll ever see.

Wine & Dine
Valley Road is a self-catering retreat. Simply bring your own food and drinks and enjoy cooking with the two burner gas hob and Weber BBQ provided. You’ll find all the cutlery, crockery, pots, pans, wine and cocktail glasses you’ll need to prepare your meals and drinks. If you want a break from cooking you can hike down to your vehicle and check out some of the amazing restaurants on the Kāpiti Coast.
Activities
Valley Road is the perfect escape to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of Aotearoa. Spend your days relaxing in the bath, sipping wine or playing games. For the adventurous, hike along the farm’s ridge line to take in the views and spot the animals, or challenge yourself with the Raumati Escarpment Mataihuka Walkway just steps from the accommodation.

Your hosts at Valley Road are Boyd, Anna, their son Sam and his partner Lydia. This is a family-run venture, with each of us contributing to the ideas and concepts that have brought Valley Road to life. Originally from the central North Island, where we spent many years farming, we’ve now returned to the family farm in Kāpiti, where we’ve been for the past 10 years. The farm has been a cornerstone of our family for many years, and it’s always been our intention to return and continue its legacy.
After years of running sheep and cattle across the hilltops and enjoying these breathtaking views ourselves, we’re thrilled to now share this rural paradise with you.
