How do I get there?

Valley Road is located at 180 Valley Road, Paraparaumu, on the stunning Kāpiti Coast, just a 40-minute drive from Wellington City. Once you arrive, we provide a short 4WD transfer up a steep farm track to your accommodation and will collect you when your stay is complete. You are more than welcome to hike the 15-minute track to your vehicle if you would like to explore the local area. For safety reasons, personal vehicles cannot drive to the site.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-In: 3:00 PM
We’ll meet you at the designated location and personally escort you up to the site.

Check-Out: 11:00 AM

For arrivals or departures outside of these hours, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

What are the cooking facilities?

You’ll have a Weber BBQ for outdoor cooking and a two-burner gas hob inside. We provide all the cookware, utensils and basics like coffee, tea, sugar, milk, salt, pepper and cooking oil.

What do we need to bring?

Bring your own food and beverages, warm clothing for cooler weather, sturdy footwear for hikes and swimwear for the outdoor bath.

What are the bathroom facilities?

We’re fully off-grid with a solar and gas powered Cinderella toilet and a spacious hot shower. Fresh towels are provided for both the shower and outdoor bath.

Is there mobile reception or wifi?

You’ll have excellent mobile reception, but we don’t offer WiFi. There are plenty of charging points for your devices.

Is there power?

Valley Road runs on solar power. Sunny days generate electricity, while our battery bank ensures power on cloudy days. We kindly ask that you conserve energy during your stay.

Can I bring my pets?

As a fully operational sheep and beef farm, we have a deep love for animals. However, for health and safety reasons, we are unable to accommodate pets during your stay.

Can I stay for one night?

We require a minimum two night stay on weekends. Single night stays are available weekdays, though we recommend two nights to fully enjoy the off-grid experience.
